Monster Theatre

Confessions of a Class Clown

Formed in 2000, Monster Theatre has toured across Canada, played at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, won numerous awards including the illustrious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival Frankie Award for Best Comedy, and were featured in a one-hour TV special. For 2007-2008, Monster Theatre presents Confessions of a Class Clown, a story based on the real-life misadventures of

a young man's hilarious relationship with formal education. We witness Ryan taking up his Grade 4 teacher's offer of "So, you think you could do a better job?" which sets the stage for high school. We follow Ryan as he joins a theatre company that teaches him how to misbehave creatively, gives a "grammar" lesson, and finally gets a job grading standardized government exams.
